I'm not at all against visual art set to music. I'm against people almost demanding a comprehensive and commercial music video for every single released. My comments were directed towards someone who claimed the video was the worst they had ever seen. I don't put an over emphasis on music videos of any kind, and it's clear Beach House don't either. It's a nice collection of videos, I enjoyed them. Saw them live last week in Dublin, they were fantastic. Truly amazing group

That was very short sighted of me, I stand corrected! Though, I feel what I said was taken out of context a little. My original comments where in regards to someone who said it was one of the worst music videos they had ever seen, and with that in mind I think my comments were justified, because this is obviously coming from someone who feels that music videos are important, when we all know it isn't. Not even remotely. The dvd was a nice touch by Beach House

why the vitriol towards mixing music and video? what a silly battle to fight... "i'm against visual art set to music." it doesn't take a bit from the music they've made - just works with it to interesting ends.

They weren't trying remotely hard, in fact they weren't trying at all because they didn't have anything to do with this video or any of the videos appearing on the dvd disc that came with Teen Dream. They are all Independent films by various directors. If you ask me it's the 'music video' is just another dull part of the MTV generation where music becomes secondary. I doubt Beach House give two shits about making music videos, this is obvious when you watch some of their other videos
